Happy Birthday to me and this "group"~

Whoa, it didn't take more than a year for a new release.  Are you surprised?  Granted, it did take a couple of months.  And all I have to offer is another short Arcana oneshot, but hey, it's better than nothing, right?  I'll get back to my other project eventually, but I'm just so lazy to scan, whereas with Arcana, I already have the raws from demiotaku.

Actually, it's my birthday today!  It's also the birthday of my scanlation "group" (for lack of a better word).  I made my first release on September 26, 2005.  So it's been 5 years already, though I haven't been totally active.  And I'm giving you guys a gift!  It's a cute little oneshot from volume 9 of the Arcana Anthology entitled "Thanks Dogs Day."  Title sounds odd?  Well, you'll understand as soon as you read it!  This one is probably one of my favourites from this volume.  It's so cute!

If you're on Arcanthology and keep up with the spreadsheet, you'll know I've reserved this chapter for awhile now but only got around to working on it recently.  So as an apology:

Revival! And two Arcana oneshots~

Hello to all newcomers and welcome back to all the returning readers who used to visit my old site while it was still up. I decided to move from my uni account to blogger since it's easier to update. I have added all the old release messages from the old site to this one for archival purposes, but they're so old that they can be ignored. Navigation is to the right; click on "Projects" to access the project pages where all the downloads are ^_^

Has it really been 3 years since my last release? A lot has happened since then. I do plan to complete "Confession Under a Clear Sky" as there are only two more stories, but they're going to take a bit longer. I also have a few other things planned, but I can't say when they'll be done. I guess the best thing about being the only member in a scanlation group you own is that you can go at your own pace.

And now for the releases! It's probably what everyone's here for anyway, isn't it? Recently I discovered a manga anthology called "Arcana." Basically, it's an anthology of very short stories that is published every four months or so, with each volume containing stories focusing on a certain theme. Seeing as the scanlating of Arcana is really a community thing, where anyone can pitch in, and that there was still a long way to go before every story out there is scanlated, I decided to contribute. So without further ado, I present two short stories from volume 9 of Arcana, which focuses on the theme of "personification and transformation".

These releases contain a lot of "firsts" for me. It's the first time I'm translating from Japanese directly. My previous releases were translated from Chinese. Throughout the years, I've slowly taught myself Japanese and this effort is a result of it. I tried my best, though there may be some inaccuracies. If you are familiar with the language and notice any mistakes, then please feel free to contact me so that I can fix them.

This is also the first time I translated sound effects! That was even more difficult! But thanks to some resources online, I managed to approximate the sound effects to an English equivalent (At least I hope so! Again, report errors to me if sighted). I didn't bother deleting the Japanese sound effects because I don't want to destroy the artwork too much, and it takes too much time XD Instead, I've placed the English nearby, while trying to imitate the same effect and visual as the Japanese sound effect.

Anyway, that's it for now. I plan to do a few more of these short stories from Arcana, but from different volumes, partly because they're short and I don't have spend a whole lot of time on them. After 2 years~ Final Story 2 is out!

I'm still alive! Does anyone even still remember me? Sorry for the huge delay (~2 years! haha) but I have been busy with real life. Finally, the second story is out! I've been working on this behind the scenes bit by bit over the years. I'm also involved with other translating projects on the internet (namely drama fansubbing), so I've had to split up my time. I don't know when the next one will be done but I'll get started on it soon. I want to hurry up and finish this book so I can start working on some others I have ^^ Hi to all the new visitors to this site and welcome back to returning ones!

"Confession" Story1v2 and Story 3 Released!

Finally, the promised version 2 of "Confession" is out! Also a new release! Because I like to be unpredictable, I have released Story 3 before Story 2 ^_^ (also because the third story is much shorter than the second ^^;) The download links will be put up on the site in a few days.
